A meeting was called by the Govt. of Assam, to discuss the implementation of the recommendation of High Level Committee on Clause 6 headed by Justice Biplab Sarmah at the Old CM block, Dispur, Guwahati, Assam on 21/11/2024 (4PM). The meeting was attended by 33 Nos of Sahitya Sabhas from entire state of Assam including Assam Sahitya Sabha and Boro Sahitya Sabha among others , Secretary of Higher Education, Govt of Assam, VC Cotton University, Director, SCERT, Secretary Prakashan Parishad, Govt. of Assam and the officials of Higher Education and department of Education and the meeting was Chaired by Hon'ble Minister of Education Dr. Ranoj Pegu. The meeting discussed in details regarding implementation of indigenous languages as MOI up to class II in the first phase from next academic years and as a subject in the higher education level. We from Deori Sahitya Sabha gives our consent on various issues by speaking in the meeting. The meeting ended with a closing speech from the Hon'ble Minister of Education.
