Deori Chucheba Chengcha (DCC), as per the schedule prepared by the Central DCC, celebrated the "Bhasha Gaurav Saptah" at Jyoti Chitraban,Guwahati, on 9th November 2024 along with a Workshop on Poem (চ্চুচ্চঁমায় নমাকু) in association with Banful Prakashan, Guwahati, chaired by Bharat Ch. Deori, President Guwahati Metro District DCC. The workshop on Poem was coordinated by Bipul Deuri, Sahitya Akademi award winner and the function was attended by Deboprasad Talukdar, poet, Dr.Saranan Deori, President, DCC. Bhoirab Deori, Chief Executive Member, Deori Autonomous Council (DAC), Central Executive Members & Karnadhar Committee Members of DCC, the members of the Guwahati Metro District DCC, members of Branch committee under Guwahati Metro District DCC and the local Public & dignitaries. The resolution for submitting a Thanks giving letter to the Prime Minister of India, Chief Minister of Assam, Education Minister of Assam and a demand for inclusion of Deori language in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution were adopted unanimously. The Thanks giving letter was submitted through the District Commissioner, Guwahati Metro for onward submission.
