Deori Chucheba Chengcha (DCC), as per the schedule prepared by the Central DCC, celebrated the "Bhasha Gaurav Saptah" at Jorhat Upper Deori Gaon, District Jorhat, on 9th November 2024 along with an Echajuba chaired by Achen Deori, President Jorhat District DCC and attended by Nabalaxmi Deori, Organising Secretary, DCC. the members of the Jorhat District DCC, members of Upper Deori Branch DCC and the local Public & dignitaries. The resolution for submitting a Thanks giving letter to the Prime Minister of India, Chief Minister of Assam, Education Minister of Assam and a demand for inclusion of Deori language in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution were adopted unanimously. The Thanks giving letter was submitted to the District Commissioner, Jorhat for onward submission.
